Every second Monday morning we have a 7 am staff meeting where we discuss current and upcoming projects. This morning’s meeting introduced 2 new journeymen and an apprentice to the team. We are excited to add another vehicle to the growing Wicks Electric fleet. This smaller van will be perfect for our service department which is in full swing as usual. When most companies are declining service calls we are pleased to continue to offer this much needed service. Small repairs, troubleshooting and fixture installations are some of the usual calls. We average 3 such calls everyday.
A good time was had by all at Joey’s on Burrard last night. The crew enjoyed a night of good food, good company and lots of laughter (and a few drinks!). They have all been working so hard and so well it was nice to get together to celebrate the successful completion of some awesome jobs and share the excitement of our new projects just beginning. No one was even late for work the next morning – what a team!
Daniela reaches new heights finishing the rough-in portion of the new Popeye’s store in Surrey. We completed the rough-in 30 hours under budget and can’t wait to get back to put the finishing touches when the interior is completed. It’s going to be a beaut!
The renovation at The Undercroft Barbershop on W. 4th in Kits was a real pleasure to work on, turning a former realtors office into a funky upscale comfortable space. As with most salons lighting is everything for the barbers, stylists and clients. The choices of lighting reflect modern technology as well as days gone by. Check them out next time you are in need of a new look or spruce up!
Another successful project. This is the brand new Qoola Frozen Yogurt designer outlet in Richmond. From a dusty empty space to a bright, clean, classy and welcoming store. For almost 10 months the crew worked diligently and did an amazing job. It was a pleasure, as always, to work with Perfect Fit Plumbing, the general contractor for the project. And they are perfectly pleased!
