Vancouver’s Terminal City Club
One of our many important jobs this week includes an electrical update at the Terminal City Club’s office tower. Founded in 1892 the Terminal City Club is Vancouver’s oldest and most pretigious club. When CPR finally completed the cross-Canada rail line to its terminus in Vancouver in 1891, a group of Vancouver businessmen formed the Terminal City Club as a gathering place for the city’s most influencial businessmen to meet, relax and, of course, do business!

The Wave of the Future!
With more and more interest in alternative energy sources, we were pleased to learn that BCIT is proposing a new course to offer to Red Seal Electricians and Electrical Engineers. Some of the components of the course would include: Renewable Energy Systems, Energy Storage and Fuel Cells, Solar, Thermal, Geothermal as well as Wind and Micro-Hydro Systems. We are excited to participate in this important educational opportunity as soon as it is offered! Wicks Electric aims to be in the forefront of new technology as it continues to develop and be perfected.
A Rainy Day Trip To Indian Arm
This week the crew travelled up Indian Arm by boat to install a generator for the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. The generator will provide heat and power to the Sea Can container at this remote site. Although it was a cold, rainy day they thoroughly enjoyed the trip, the beautiful scenery and the change of pace from the busy city. Check out the gallery for more pictures!
